These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Card Value Scanner (“Service”), including the website at cardvaluescanner.io and any related mobile application (the “App”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Card Value Scanner is a Pokémon card value scanner that identifies cards from photos and shows market prices, graded values, and collection totals for collectors and sellers.

Card Value Scanner is an unofficial fan tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Creatures, or GAME FREAK. Pokémon and related marks are trademarks of their respective owners and are used here only in a nominative, descriptive way to refer to collectible trading cards.

Not Professional, Grading, or Investment Advice

Card identification results, market-price estimates, graded-value ranges, collection totals, variant labels, and selling-preparation suggestions are provided for general informational and personal organization purposes only. They are not guaranteed sale prices, certified appraisals, investment advice, authentication results, or professional grading opinions from PSA, BGS, CGC, or any other grading company.

Photo scans and database matches can be incomplete or incorrect, especially for damaged cards, poor lighting, foreign-language prints, promos, mislabeled binders, or cards with similar artwork. Always verify set name, card number, edition, foil type, condition, and authenticity before relying on a scan for selling, grading, insuring, or high-value purchase decisions.

Market prices reflect available third-party data and recent sales signals where shown. They may not match local shop buy prices, auction hammer prices, or the amount a buyer will actually pay on a given day.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service lawfully and responsibly. Without limiting other restrictions, you may not:

• Use the Service for unlawful resale schemes, counterfeit promotion, or misrepresentation of card authenticity, condition, or grade.
• Upload content you do not have the right to share, including photos that violate privacy, copyright, or another person’s property without permission.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, disrupt, or circumvent security or access controls except as permitted by law.
• Misrepresent scan results, price estimates, or collection totals as certified appraisals, grading outcomes, or official Pokémon Company endorsements.
• Use automated bots or bulk harvesting to extract database content, pricing feeds, or scan outputs without written permission.
• Interfere with normal operation of the Service or harass other users through support channels.

When listing cards on eBay, TCGPlayer, Cardmarket, or other marketplaces, you remain responsible for following each platform’s listing rules, condition standards, and disclosure requirements.

Accounts, Subscriptions, and App Store Terms

Certain features may require account registration or a paid subscription. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

If you download the App through Apple App Store, Google Play, or another marketplace, purchases and refunds may also be subject to that platform’s terms and billing policies. Where app-store rules conflict with these Terms on payment matters, the platform terms may control for that transaction.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, pricing, or availability with reasonable notice when practicable. Free tiers, trial periods, and promotional offers may change or end at any time.

User Content and License

You retain ownership of photos, notes, collection entries, and other content you submit (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you grant Card Value Scanner a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, display, and use that content solely to operate, improve, and secure the Service, including improving card recognition where disclosed in our https://cardvaluescanner.io/privacy-policy.

You represent that you have the rights needed to submit User Content and that doing so does not violate any law or third-party rights. We may remove content that appears unlawful, abusive, infringing, or inconsistent with these Terms.

Intellectual Property

The Service, including software, design, text, logos, and compiled pricing workflows presented through the interface, is owned by Card Value Scanner or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited right to use the Service as intended, no license is granted to copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

Third-party trademarks, card images, marketplace names, and database entries belong to their respective owners. Reference to external brands or services does not imply endorsement unless explicitly stated.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Card Value Scanner disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of identification, uninterrupted availability, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that every scan will identify the correct card, variant, condition, or grade; that pricing data will be current; that collection totals will remain accurate without manual review; or that counterfeit detection will catch every altered or fake card.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Card Value Scanner and its officers, directors, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, trading losses, grading outcomes, or collection records, arising from or related to your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim or (b) fifty U.S. dollars, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Card Value Scanner from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created security risk, or used the Service unlawfully. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by nature should survive termination—including disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and governing law—will survive.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice on the website or in the App. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
