Bright artwork by Atsuko Nishida anchors Plusle #8, a Rare Holo from the 2003 EX Dragon expansion. A rising short-term trend and an extraordinary premium for pristine condition make clean copies particularly notable.

Why Plusle #8 is priced where it is

Plusle #8 is a Rare Holo Pokémon card from EX Dragon, the EX era (2003). It ranks as number 10 by price out of 100 cards in the set, so it is one of the cards collectors chase when opening packs. A PSA 10 sells for about 44x the raw price, so centering and surface condition decide most of what a copy is worth. Its price has held almost flat over the last 30 days ($44.79 to $44.79). The illustration is by Atsuko Nishida.

Graded card values (PSA, CGC, BGS)

Grading	Grade	Median sold	Sales
BGS	7	$71.86	1
CGC	10	$350.32	5
PSA	10	$1,976	5
PSA	9	$336.85	5
PSA	8	$127.08	5
PSA	7	$39.99	1

Graded values are medians of real eBay sold listings.

Is it worth grading? Since the top-grade multiple is extreme relative to the raw band, grading has clear upside for exceptionally preserved examples but little room for overlooked flaws. Scratches across the holo field matter most, followed by silvering, edge whitening and tiny corner touches.
